Đại Tuệ Chiếu Nhiên
Đại Tuệ Chiếu Nhiên
Dates uncertain
Đại Tuệ Chiếu Nhiên was the third-generation master of the Liễu Quán dharma line and the thirty-seventh generation of the Linji (Lâm Tế) school. He served as abbot of both Bảo Quốc and Thiền Tôn temples in the Huế region, important monastic centers of central Vietnamese Buddhism during the eighteenth century.
The character "Đại" in his name corresponds to the third position in Liễu Quán's dharma transmission poem. Like his predecessor Tế An Lưu Quang, detailed biographical information about Đại Tuệ Chiếu Nhiên exists primarily in Vietnamese-language temple archives and has not been widely published. He transmitted the dharma to Đạo Minh Phổ Tịnh, continuing the chain of succession that would establish the Từ Hiếu Temple lineage.
