Thích Hoằng Thâm

Thích Hoằng Thâm (fl. early–mid twentieth century) was a Vietnamese Buddhist master in the Lâm Tế tradition and the direct ordination teacher of Thích Quảng Đức (1897–1963)^[1]. He was Thích Quảng Đức's maternal uncle and spiritual master; the young Lâm Văn Túc entered religious life under him at age seven, took novice vows at fifteen, and received full bhikṣu ordination at age twenty^[1].
