Huanglong Huiji

Dates uncertain

Huanglong Huiji (黃龍慧基) is recorded in the *Jǐngdé Chuándēng Lù* as a Chan figure of the Huanglong stream, distinct from the better-known eleventh-century Huanglong Huinan who founded the Huanglong sub-house of the Linji school[1]. The lamp records preserve his lineage placement but little detailed biographical information; modern scholarship treats him as one of the many minor figures who anchored the broader spread of the Tang-Song transmission network[2].
