Dagui Muzhe

Dates uncertain

Dagui Muzhe was a Caodong school master who taught at Mount Dagui. He maintained the tradition's contemplative emphasis and contributed to its network of practice centers during the Song dynasty. His teaching continued the school's characteristic approach of pointing to the unity of practice and awakening.

Muzhe's community on Mount Dagui served as one of many nodes in the Caodong network through which the tradition sustained itself during the Song period. The school's survival and eventual flourishing depended on such communities, each maintaining the standard of practice and transmission that kept the lineage vital.
