Daigyō Moriyama

1938 – Unknown

Daigyō Moriyama Rōshi (森山 大行) is a Japanese Sōtō priest and Dharma heir of Niwa Rempō Zenji, 77th abbot of Eihei-ji[1]. The 24-agent pilot verification surfaced Moriyama as one of Niwa Rempō's documented heirs alongside Gudō Wafu Nishijima and Tetsuzan Gendō Niwa (Rempō's successor at Tōkei-in), all three of whom had previously been absent from this lineage roster. Moriyama subsequently taught extensively outside Japan, with particularly strong connections to the Brazilian Sōtōshū network; he served as abbot of Zuigakuin in Yamanashi and contributed to the international expansion of the Eihei-ji-line in South America.
