Paula Reikiku Femenias

Paula Reikiku Femenias is a Swedish Sōtō Zen nun in the Deshimaru–Kōsen line and the founding teacher of a stable Kosen-Sangha zazen group in Sweden^[1]. She began zazen in 1990 in Sweden ("Master Rei Kiku, Paula Femenias, started zazen in 1990 in Sweden")^[1] and for a number of years followed Stéphane Kōsen Thibaut's mission across Europe — practising at the Zen Dōjō Amsterdam and at the Dōjō Zen de Montpellier near Yujō Nyūsanji^[1].

Since 2011 she has been based again in Sweden, where she leads a zazen group ("Since 2011 she has been back in Sweden where she leads a zazen group")^[1]. She continues to practise at Yujō Nyūsanji, anchoring the Scandinavian node of the Deshimaru–Kōsen network^[1].

In 2015 Kōsen Thibaut conferred shihō on her, per the official Kōsen Sangha roster ("2015: Ingrid Gyuji Igelnick, Françoise Jomon Julien, Paula Reikiku Femenias, Ariadna Dosei Labbate")^[2] — one of the four women on whom he transmitted the dharma that year^[2].
