Mokuza
Dates uncertain
Beppe Mokuza Signoritti is an Italian Sōtō Zen monk and dharma heir of Roland Yuno Rech, founder and godo of the Bodai Dōjō in Alba (Cuneo) and an internationally recognised teacher of sumi-e ink painting[1][2][3]. He trained for many years in the AZI network at La Gendronnière, at the Zinal sesshin in Switzerland, and at the Dōjō Mokushō in Turin, where he received the transmission of sumi-e from Ezio Tenryū Zanin and complemented his instruction with three Japanese masters of Chinese ink painting[2].
In 2019 Signoritti received shihō from Roland Yuno Rech at La Gendronnière[1][2][3]. His Bodai Dōjō in Alba combines daily zazen with regular sumi-e workshops, and his Sumi-e & Zen school has become one of the principal European venues for ink-painting practice in a contemplative key; he has been teaching across Europe for more than thirty years and is a frequent demonstrator at festivals such as Scirarindi in Sardinia[2][3].
