Kogen

Dates uncertain

Eveline Kogen Pascual is a German Sōtō Zen nun and dharma heir of Roland Yuno Rech, godo of the Kanjizai-Dōjō / Zendo Aachen and one of the most senior women in the European Deshimaru lineage[1][2]. A long-time student of Yuno Rech, she was a co-founder of the Kanjizai-Dōjō in Aachen in 1995 and has led it since 2001, building it into one of the principal AZI-affiliated practice places in the Rhineland[2][3].

In 2019 she received shihō from Roland Yuno Rech at La Gendronnière[1][2]. Within the AZI / ABZE network she is the senior teacher specifically responsible for kesa-sewing instruction (kesanähen) and ordination preparation — two demanding domains of monastic transmission that require sustained one-to-one teaching — and she leads zazen days and sesshin across Germany and the Low Countries[2][3].
