Kaiten Genju

Kaiten Genju was a Soto Zen master who contributed to the school's intellectual life. He was part of the tradition of Soto scholar-monks who combined meditative practice with the study of Dogen's writings, helping to clarify and systematize the founder's often difficult philosophical works for subsequent generations of practitioners.
