Dates uncertain

Luc Sojō Bordes is a French Sōtō Zen monk and dharma heir of Roland Yuno Rech, responsible for the Groupe Zen Vernon — Saint-Pierre-d'Autils[1][2]. He practiced zazen at the Dōjō Zen de Paris from 1985 to 2012, where he also taught, was ordained a monk in 1987 — placing his ordination in the lifetime of Étienne Zeisler — and for nearly thirty years (1990–2019) directed the Dōjō Zen de Garches in the western Paris suburbs[2][3]. For 25 years he was a long-standing student of Gérard Chinrei Pilet before taking Yuno Rech as his principal teacher[2].

In 2023 Bordes received shihō from Roland Yuno Rech at La Gendronnière[1][2][3]. Now retired from his teaching profession, he resides in Saint-Pierre-d'Autils (Eure), where he founded the Vernon Zen group in 2011, and continues to write haiku in a long-running practice journal that has become one of the small but distinctive literary side-channels of the contemporary AZI sangha[2].
