Claus Heiki Bockbreder is a German Sōtō Zen monk and physician, godo of Zendo Melle e.V. in Lower Saxony and a 2024 dharma heir of Roland Yuno Rech^[1][2][3]. In civilian life he practices as a Facharzt für Allgemeinmedizin in Melle (49324) and has lectured at the University of Osnabrück's Institute for Islamic Theology on Buddhist medical ethics, an indication of the public profile he combines with his Zen teaching^[3].
