Dates uncertain
Ingrid Gyū-Ji Igelnick is a French Sōtō Zen nun in the Deshimaru–Kōsen line[1]. She first encountered Zen and Taisen Deshimaru in 1978 ("Ingrid Igelnick rencontre le zen et maître Deshimaru en 1978")[1] and was ordained as a Zen nun in 1984 by Stéphane Kōsen Thibaut ("Elle reçoit l'ordination de nonne en 1984 par maître Kosen")[1].
She has practised alongside Kōsen since 1992, assisting him in his mission, leading sesshin for several years, and teaching the practice of *kesa* sewing[1] — the traditional handwork by which monastic robes are stitched, treated by Dōgen in the *Shōbōgenzō Kesa Kudoku* as integral to the practice itself.
In 2015 she received shihō from Kōsen ("dont elle reçoit la transmission, le Shiho, en 2015")[1] — among the four women on whom Kōsen conferred transmission that year, alongside Françoise Jōmon Julien, Paula Reikiku Femenias, and Ariadna Dōsei Labbate per the official Kōsen Sangha roster[2].
